Contact Easter Egg - Eye Glint

In the beginning of the movie when the camera is pulling back through the universe, and then emerges from a glint in young Elly's eye, there is a silloette of "The Machine" that gets built later in the movie inside her eye-glint. (Minus the rings, which would make it too recognizeable)
If you have the DVD, they will tell you this if you watch some of the special features.

Did you notice when Ellie was being transported through a series of "wormholes", that for a brief moment, she stopped in orbit around a quadruple systemised planet which also had a series of lights stretched across the planet surface. If you go back to the scene just after she slept with Palmer and when she is putting on her green shirt. Look at the wall on the left hand side to the bed and you will notice a poster with the strikingly similar image of the quadruple systemised planet.

Yet ANOTHER egg can be found in the opening scene where the camera pulls through space. I found this by accident as i paused the movie in the beginning to wait on my dad to come back from the kitchen. ;) As the camera pulls by the planet mars, pause or slow down the movie and you can see a obvious placement of the 'mars face' that was found a few years ago on the mars surface. This is really a neat egg. I've only seen the DVD of Contact, but I assume its on the VHS too.

The "face" in Mars was mentioned in the bonus material on the DVD.
