In the scene where Kiefer Sutherland is digging through the trunk he finds an old, green army hat. He puts it on and pulls it down over his ears, a definite tribute to his father, Donald Sutherland's, role as Hawkeye in M*A*S*H*. For a second or two, he looks exactly like his father in that movie.
