The doll that you have to get so you can get the cat is actually a character in another game called Captain Claw.

Now that I know that the toy's name is Captain Claw, I noticed that the phrase he says when you squeeze him sounds a little like "claw" toward the end. What he's saying is probably his name in Japanese. Another thing about the doll is that if you use it toward a non-enemy character as you would use the knife, they'll react as if you had hit them but they don't get killed.

what he is saying is "Magic Claw," if you ahve ever played Claw then you would know that that is the phrase he says while performing a magic attack (by the way, there is a demo of the game on the SHOGO CD)
