10-10-220/Terry Bradshaw Easter Egg - Howie the Dog

The commercial starts out with Terry talking to his dog, he calls the dog, "Howie". As most NFL fans know, Terry hosts Fox's NFL pre-game show with none other then "Howie" Long.
Coinsidence? I think not.

I think that since it's widely known that Bradshaw and Long are colleagues - and furthermore friends - the dog's being named Howie is supposed to be more ironic, or simply amusing. In other commercials where the two appear together, they poke fun of one another, so it seems this is merely another extension of that behavior.

Terry Hatcher is NOT married to Howie Long. She has stated this in many many interview, since so many people believe that they are married. \They are, at the most, good friends. That's all, end of story.

The original poster was not talking about Terri Hatcher being married to Howie Long. I thought the OP was referring to the dog on the phone ads being named Terry. In that case, i guess it is rather cute!

OK, about the Radio Shack commercials. They're an homage to the James Garner commercials in the 70s for Polaroid. I forget who his co-star was, but everyone thought they were married as well. That was the effect that the ad people wanted. Not that everyone would think that the couple was married, but that they would have a natural chemistry for more believability.
