Aliens vs. Predator Easter Egg - Cheat Codes (NOT AN EGG)
These console cheats can only be accessed by using the debug command and the console. If you add the -debug to the command to run AvP whilst in the Dos prompt you will be able to use the cheats.
You will need to change directories to c:\Program Files\Fox\Aliens versus Predator\ , ( cd\progra~1\fox\aliens~1 )
Next type avp.exe -debug ( avp.exe -debug) and you will now be in the debug mode.
If you want to forgo all this you can download the AvPLaunch program which makes life a lot more simple, it also pre-loads any BOTS that may not be found in the level you want to play. When you are using this mode you will not be able to play Multi-player games and any levels will not be shown as completed if you complete them.
The deafault key to access to CONSOLE is the Grave Key. (top left next to Number 1). N.B All commands must be typed in UPPERCASE.
Lists all commands that you can use.
Puts you into God Mode and therefore you can not die. You will however still take damage until you reach zero health.
This code will give you all the weapons aviliable to the Species you are playing as.
Give's Predator Full Charge
Displays the current frame-rate per second on-screen.
Displays the number of rendered polygons per frame on-screen.
Creates a light source near the player. Repeated use makes a brighter and brighter light.
A BOT can only be created if it's model exists in the current level. If the model does not exist you will need to add the following to the Dos command, if you do not use the AvPLaunch program.
avp.exe -lampctrx -debug
a - Alien, m - Marine, p - Predator, c - Civilian, t - Praetorian, r - PredAlien, x - Xenoborg.
Replace the # with a number to get a different type of BOT.
Creates an Alien in front of the player.
Creates a Colonial Marine (or civilian) of type # in front of player.
Creates a Predator of type # in front of player.
Creates a PredAlien in front of player.
Creates a Praetorian Alien in front of player.
Creates a Xenoborg in front of player.
OTHER CONSOLE COMMANDS
Lists all console variables.
Lists all keybinds.
Gets ride of all key bindings.
Tells version number and date.
Broadcasts message to your Species only.
Stop CD playing.
Select a track to play.
Select a track to play looped.
Select a sound level from 0 to 127.
Get the name of the player nearest to you.
Show frag table count.
Maximum texture/graphics detail.
Minimal texture/graphics detail.
Takes a screenshot
0 INT:(0,1) (Verbose reports of text epansions).
Allows the palyer to speed up/slow down the pulse rate of the Marine's Motion Tracker (range from 0-16, default is 1).
(0.000000, 1.000000) 1.0 is normal.
1 INT:(0,1) Turn Extrapolation for movement of network opponents on and off.
Allows you to bind a command to a key. Example "BIND F8 SCREENSHOT".
Change the rate at which time flows in the game, e.g. "TIMESCALE 0.5" will make time pass at half the normal speed.
Display the environment and/or characters using wireframe graphics.
Change the red component in a sky.
Change the green component in a sky.
Change the blue component in a sky.
Change the amount the camera tilts when side-stepping.
THE PATCHES ADDED CONSOLE COMMANDS
Saves the game to the first save slot.
Loads the game from the first save slot.
(# is a number from 1-8) will save to the specified slot.
(# is a number from 1-8) will load from the specified slot.
Displays how many saves the player has remaining in the current level at the current difficulty.
This is set at its maximum of 1.0 by default, the volume of the tracker can be reduced by changing this number (e.g. to 0.75 or 0.5).
This new console command allows players to change the Aliens crouch/crawl to a toggle on/off key by typing "CROUCHMODE 1" at the console. "CROUCHMODE 0" changes back to the default setting.
