Running With the Devil (Van Halen) - No Navy
Yeh, one part durring the song, near the end, you can hear David saying 'god damn the Navy and all of you lifers!'.
Why??? Because he was in the navy before becoming a rock star and obviously it didn't roll over too great on him.
Special Requirements:
The song 'running with the devil' and, uh....volume control

Checked it out (4 transfer errors on Napster, grrrrrr) Sounds more like a mondegreen than an egg; you can hear it that way if you are listening for it that way, but... A mondegreen is a lyric that can be misheard, like in Purple Haze where a lot of people thought Jimi Hendrix was singing "'scuse me while I kiss this guy" instead of "'scuse me while I kiss the sky" or "There is a bad moon on the rise" becomes "there in the bathroom on the right" in CCR's Bad Moon Rising. Most people agree that he is singing this: (the part after the second verse right before the solo) - "God damn it lady, you know I ain't lyin' to you, I'm only gonna tell you one time...."

If Roth WAS in the Navy, he sure forgot to mention it in his autobiography: "Crazy From the Heat"

actually, dave's father was the navy man, hence his disdain for the navy
