In the scene where Ace is being interrogated by Lois Einhorn (where she kisses him), the fruit arrangement on her desk hints at the movie's ending. There are two apples and a banana arranged to form the shape of the male genitalia. These fruity props are even funnier when we see Lois, aka Ray Finkle, kissing Ace.

No, Shadyac may merely feign 'insanity,'as any fine artist may. Tom Shadyac is one of our most brilliant, soulful, and witty directors. Shady Acres is putting out wonderful work. Marquette Q. Champagne

That's no coincidence my friend "SHADY ACres". That's obviously a nod to the director. Why else would they have chosen it.

TRUE:if you listen to the directors commentary in the DVD version Tom Shadyac Clearly states that he got the 'Shady Acres' from his own name

It's been a while but in "Batman Returns" (I think), Jim Carrey plays the Joker, and at the end, he is confined to a mental asylum. Which one, you ask? "Shady Acres"...
