Babylon 5 - PsiCorps Advert Subliminals
In the Babylon 5 episode 'And Now For a Word' the program is set out like a ISN news broadcast. In the middle there is commercial break.
During this break there is a mock advert for the Psi Corps, during which a boy is entered into the corps, very apple-pie, smiling faces...But when you freeze-frame the ad you can see subliminal messages in between. The words "TRUST THE CORPS" and "THE CORP IS YOUR FRIEND" appear.

Renton writes:
The reason its not technically a 'subliminal' is that by law, no television programs are allowed to contain subliminal images. However, subliminal images are defined as something like 2/100ths of a second so the Bab5 crew made it 5/100ths of a second instead so it was legal Remember that these figures are NOT necessarily accurate. Also, by reading this, it ceases to be a subliminal image. When a viewer is aware of them, subliminal images become consciously acknowledgeable.

Despite this being an apparent Egg, a B5 book says this is actually longer than an actual subliminal ad can be. However, you do have to be quick to see it.

This is not a true egg, because it was meant to be noticed by the viewers, to help show what the Psi Corps will do.
