Birds, The Easter Egg - Pets!

Just after opening credits to "The Birds"; Tippi Hedren heads into Davidson's pet shop. There she will purchase two love birds in a cage.
>>>> Right before she walks into the store, Hitchcock the director walks out the door with
twin small white terriers on leashes. Probably his most renowned cameo.

Hitchcock did not appear in every film he made. For details, check www.imdb.com. And I have to agree that the most remarkable appearance was made in lifeboat.

I always thought his most "renowned" appearance was in Lifeboat, since theoretically there was no way for him to have a "walk on." Of course, they did it by using his photo in a before/after weight-loss picture in a newspaper.

Hitchcock was well renowned for appearing on every film he made, kind of a superstition thing, and EVERYBODY knows it. So, is this really an eegg?! I think the most famous one is not the one in Lifeboat (it might be the best, though) but the one in Psycho.

I agree that his most famous walk on appearance was in birds, since so many people know about it. It is also something people can easily look for, since it is mostly in the beginning of the movie.
