That's pretty cool! Does anyone know whether the movie came out before or after the video game "Predator vs. Alien?"

I don't know about the video game but I'm pretty certain it came out after the Predator vs Aliens comic book (Black Horse comics I think). The basic premise of which was that the Predators were seeding uninhabited planets with Aliens and then sending down their kids for a fight!

the whole thing bout the aliens/ predator thingy is that the predators are seeding planets with the aliens so that they can get the perfect 'hunt' - they train to fight the aliens & keep their skulls as trophys... also, in the books, the y refer to 'oomans' being the ultimate hunting challenge dunno why, weere a bunch of stoopid twats luv, hugs n chocolate =;] xxx

They were actually going to make a movie called aliens vs predator as there is a screenplay about it. they haven't made it because they don't think that it would do very well. if you can get hold of screenplays you should read it cause it would make an excellent movie as it explains exactly what aliens are. happy movie hunting

Sorry to ruin all of you guys fun, but aliens don't have skulls. And while I do agree with you about the comics thing, there is a flaw in this theory. Aliens have exo-skeletons, meaning their skeletons are on the outside of their bodies. Sorry to get technical on you guys...

For your information, the Yautja race (the Predators) created the ultimate 'hardmeat' (the Aliens) for sport. Anong these and other things, they hunt a dangerous race of 'softmeat' (Us). They consider us an enjoyable hunt, because our use of weaponry creates and element of danger that the Yautjas enjoy.

Hey guys, I thought I'd make a contribution. I have a close friend of mine that works in Fox and has access to most screenplays and pitches for movies that dont make it. I read the 1st half of the Alien Vs Predator screenplay and I have to say, it was AWESOME! It all starts with a Colonial Marines fast reaction team sent to rescue colonist in some planet, but they get there too late cause they find no one but soon thereafter, like a million Aliens come out and start chasing them. the Marines resist hopelessly and when they are about surrounded by the Aliens theres a lot of chaos that happens all at once. A lot of screeching and laser fire and the such. When the smoke lifts up and clears, theres only the humans, a lot of dead Aliens and the Predators outside them all. It was pretty good but my friend told me that Fox had bought the rights so no one could make the movie except them and then they cancelled. Very frustating. He told me that there was a lot of great ideas that they cancelled for almost no reason, like the show Profit and some other good ones.

First, Aliens do not necessarily have exoskeletons, although this is what the comics say and it makes more sense. They might have endoskeletons. The movies do not say either way. In the comics, the skulls are not skulls, they are just alien heads. They stick the intact heads on big spears, or hang them on ropes. I've heard a number of Aleins Vs. Predator movie rumors, but I would hope they are based on the comics. Noguchi ROCKS!

I noticed this too, but I thought that I had seen the alien skull- head- whatever you guys say it is when the predator was putting the voodoo guy's head on the trophy rack. where could I get my hands on a copy of the script? I'd love to read that

I Have the Screenplay for Aliens Vs Predators, it is a fantastic read and i can't believe that they decided to not make the movie. After reading the Play i think that the Preds created the Aliens as (like it was said before) Training toys. It shouldn't have been a bony skull in the ship but i believe that it should have been the shell. Like a Lobster. Thats my 2 cents worth.

In the early '90's there was a side-scrolling shoot-em-up of Aliens Vs Predators released, and a couple of years ago a FPS AvP game was released (the sequel is coming soon). And the screenplay that everyone is reffering to isn't a real one, it's a fan made script that fox doesn't want to use because everyone's already read it on the 'net.

I wonder what one of the heads is? There's the alien head, predator head to the left of it (you can recognize it from the teeth), and a big one that looks like a dinosaur skull... but what is the one on the right?

Alright, basic chronology for everyone here. The movies "Aliens" and "Predator" came first. Then, one day, at DarkHorse Comics, they were brainstorming for a cross-over "Vs." special, and "Aliens Vs. Predator" was thrown out, and instantly loved. And so, the comic was born. Next came "Predator 2," which got the idea for the alien heads in the trophy case (yes, heads: BOTH a queen and a drone are visible) from the comic. Then came "Alien 3" and "Alien Resurrection." And now we have the AvP PC games. Next, Alien anatomy. Aliens have exoskeletons, and those are what are in the trophy case. There are certain fleshy tubes and membranes on a Xenomorph's body. These are cleaned off by the Predator, resulting in the skeletal appearance of the heads in the film. Finally, Predator/Alien relations. The Predators didn't create the Aliens, they merely captured them. The Aliens' home planet is unknown. The Predators seed planets with Alien eggs, screening out eggs with Queen Face Huggers to prevent a hive from being created. The Predators do also hunt "Soft Meat," or humans. They consider us dangerous prey because we create and use weaponry and other technologies, and are more survival-minded than aliens. We are one of the few species that can defeat Aliens. And, as such, are revered by the Predators. And by the way, you will never see AvP on the big screen. Fox has supposedly been eyeing an official screenplay for years, and has no plans to actually make the movie. Hope you find this little report helpful.

This sounds kind of stupid but some one told me that if you look closely in the scene with the skulls, that you can see a skull from the E.T. species... anyone comment on this?

i dont know why anyone else hasnt picked up on this yet, but since FOX decided to link the movies through the use of this skull, then why, in this universe, are there TWO seperate characters played by actor Bill Paxton. ???

I was watching a pretty bad movie about giant spiders recently. No, not eight legged freaks, but another one that didn't make it to theatre. (guess this dates my comment but that is ok) Anyways there was actually some very interesting information about real spiders in this movie, including that creatures with exoskeletons cannot be larger than they currently are because without an additional endoskeloton, they would not have enough support for their internal organs. (of course in this movie the spiders developed endoskeletons as they got larger but that is besides the point) Well if the Aliens were as large as they are in the movies, then without an additional endoskeleton their organs would fall to the inside of their feet in a glop of goo. So they have to have some sort of endoskeleton for the Predators to salvage as tropies. As an addition, I recently heard that an Aliens vs. Predators movie project has been revived but the script that we are all familiar with will not be used

comstarbaby, you can't honestly expect everyone to know that, in fact the concept of the predators making the aliens wasn't made up until the first book was released in 1996, 6 years after predator2
