This is so funny! It actually makes the music by varying the speed and movement of the carriage motor. What an incredible waste of some engineer or programmer's time, but cool for us!

Several weeks ago, I accidentally triggered this easter egg while reconnecting my 5100c scanner. I love finding easter eggs on my computer and/or software, but I was totally unprepared to have my scanner take off playing Beethoven. Really had me worried for a while... Luckily, some queries pulled up this site and your comment. Whew. Thanks!!!

In order for this to work you have to be holding the green button BEFORE you plug in the scanner. I think it is the funniest thing i have ever seen. Good work HP!!!!
