Star Trek: The Next Generation Easter Egg - Hidden Items in the Enterprise

These are very hard to spot - I can't even give you the exact episodes to watch - but I have seen and verified them. When they are in the engineering department, there is a huge cross-section of the enterprise on the wall (like a blue print) If you look carefully at the decks of the ship, you will see a mouse in a tread-wheel in the engineering section, and there is a Volkswagon beetle (car) in the hanger bay (the back of the lower section. These are VERIFIED!

This stuff really isn't ever visible on TV. The in-jokes are *incredibly* small. You can see the illustration on page 11 of the ST:TNG Technical Manual, though.

Also, most of the consoles are labled with the names of people who work on the Star Trek shows.

ExAstris, what page # from the TNG Tech Manual? I must have missed that part. Also, is it the newest version, or the original red-cover manual?

Actually, it's a Porsche in the shuttle hangar. And there's a hamster in a running wheel in the back near the engines. NONE of this is visible in the show, however; whenever a close-up shot was filmed of this display which could reveal one of the cute add-ons, those portions were covered with black tape. So don't bother straining to see them; just get the tech manual instead, where they're all in plain sight.

Yes, verified indeed. This is even explained in the TNG Technical Manual. In other words, what else is new.
