F***nbc.com is owned by 2600.com, yes the ones being sued by every movie making company in existance. So f***cbs.com is probably theirs too.

According to whois.corenic.net, both of those domain names are owned by Emmanuel Goldstein of 2600 Enterprises. Therefore it is his idea of being funny, not the networks themselves.

You can do it to IBM too. Also, CBS and NBC do hate each other. CBS stamped their logo OVER NBC's when covering the Y2K at Times Square, and I belive NBC sued CBS because of that.

I got a blank page for the first, and a routine maintenance page for the second. the only interesting thing was, I noticed in another comment that someone mentioned that these are owned by Emmanuel Goldstein. That is the name of the supposed leader of "the brotherhood" which is an organization trying to destroy "big brother" in George Orwell's classic "1984." Odd.

these web addresses are owned by emanual goldstein of http://www.2600.com who is also the owner of 2600 the hacker quarterly (available at most barnes and noble book stores). He registered these domain names in an effort to preserve freedom of speech and is now being sued for copyright infringement by cbs and nbc who say he can not use cbs or nbc in his web address. how do you like that?

I think you've been had. F***CBS.com has nothing to do with NBC, as http://amail.co.uk/cgi-bin/adetails.pl?domain=f***cbs.com&brand=amail will tell you. Also F***NBC.com has nothing to do with CBS, as you can see here: http://amail.co.uk/cgi-bin/adetails.pl?domain=f***nbc.com&brand=amail . They both appear to be registered to a company called 2600 Enterprises, www.2600.com , however, F***CocaCola.com is NOT owned by 2600 Enterprises. However, strangely, F***2600.com is also NOT owned by 2600 Enterprises! I should imagine a rival of the company has registered that, and 2600 Enterprises probably has one for them! :)

To mofo, who wrote, "Wait a sec...wasn't Emmanuel Goldstein the (real) name of "Cereal Killer" from the 1995 movie "Hackers"? I'm almost sure it is ( I have an obsession with that movie...), I shall reply with... I thought he was the person from the book 1982. Or something like that...1983? Oh well, it's a semi-famous book anyways. Oh, and I entered in www.f***cbs.com and www.f***nbc.com and they weren't websites. Was I supposed to use the asteriks? If not, what letters would replace them? .......Just kidding.
