Pulp Fiction Easter Egg - The Big Kahuna Burger Connection

In the opening scene where Samuel Jackson and John Travolta shake down the college guys for Marcellus Wallace's "suitcase", you will notice that Jules (Samuel Jackson)takes a bite from one of the guys burger. Jules make a reference to how good Big Kahuna burgers are. As it happens, Big Kahuna was also the eastablishment frequented by Mr. Blonde after the robbery goes awry in "Reservoir Dogs".

You can also see a "Big Kahuna" bag in "Romy and Michelle's High School Reunion." At the time, QT was dating R&M star Mira Sorvino.

Also when George Clooney come back to the motel where he and his "pervert" brother Quentin Tarantino are staying before the border crossing trip, he brings food and..yeah it´s from Big Kahuna.....you have notice that Quentin eat it in a very similar way as Samuel Jackson eat the big kahuna burger in the Pulp Fiction scene.!!!!

It's one of those little 'trade mark' things that a lot of directors do. Tarantino also uses Red Apple cigarettes in a bunch of his films. I heard he actually did open up a Big Kahuna Burger goint somewhere down in the states. I'd love to go there sometime.

Big Kahuna burger also appears in the novel "Demolition Angel" by Robert Crais. Probably as a homage to Pulp Fiction

Where is "Big Kahuna Burger" in Reservoir Dogs. I've heard that Mr. Blonde goes there, but have failed to find evidence.

The role of Vincent Vega, was originally written to be Vic Vega, or Mr. Blonde from RD. When the actor who played Mr. Blonde refused the role, the character's name was changed. Vic Vega is supposedly Vincent Vegas brother.
