Star Wars Episode 1: The Phantom Menace Easter Egg - 2001 Pod in Junkyard

When Qui-Gonn and Wattoo discuss the spares in the junkyard you can see a submerged pod from the 2001 movie just right of the entrance to the building!

There's also supposed to be bits of Stormtropper outfit's, and Darth Vaders outfit as well.

This is perfectly true. I use the scene as desktop wallpaper and although i have not seen 2001 for a long time and it is patially obstructed, I can still recognize the details of the pod's bay window.

This egg is definitely true. By chance I saw 2001 on the same day as I saw Ep 1 recently and the pod is clearly visible when Qui Gon and Watto first walk out through the junkyard. Although, the picture mentioned above doesnt show the pod at all. The pod is a small round transport with two arms that was used by the two astronauts in 2001 to fix part of the ship from the outside.
