Invader ZIM Easter Egg - Z?

Soooooo ... watch the episode. After ZIM and Grr get lost in the city, and after it starts to get dark, they sit by a building wall to rest (Grr falls asleep and does cute little twitchy things). Camera pans up and on a large billboard you see "Z?".

Anyone who is a fan of ZIM creator Jhonen Vasquez's comeek, Johnny the Homicidal Maniac, knows that "Z?" is a symbol used throughout the comeek series, meaning, "Question Sleep." Ominous references, considering this is a NICKELODEON cartoon.

I love Jhonen Vasquez ...

I thought Z? means insomnia, not 'question sleep'... at least, when I was flipping through this fillerbunny comic at the shop, at the back I saw that Z? sign and next to it stood the word 'insomnia'.

Actually, it's GIR...not Grr. It's an acronym But the whole "Z?" (sleep?) thing is correct.

You're right, "Z?" is just a symbol. But it could be interpreted by non-JtHM fans as "question sleep", or alternatively, as my friends saw it, "are you asleep?". And incidently, Mr. Vasquez once said that the "G" in GIR might stand for garbage, because that's all there is in his head.

I read in an interview with Jhonen somewhere (I'v read too many; dun remmeber which one), that the Z? is cus Jhonen doesn't like sleep. He stay up, for like, 72 hours straight... Lol. Yes. Jhonen is the almighty God whom we worship. BOW BEFORE HIM!!!!

In an Episode of Invader ZIM, I forget, (Game Slave Two)? Dib is found wandering looking for the fabled "Goat sucker" of a spanish name yours truely cannot spell. But it the background one can see "24.7" and to JtHM fan, that means the local Quick Stop for our good buddy Nny. The 24.7 is also mentioned on a new Mt. Dew commercial, but that has nothing to do with Nny...darn
