Tom Hanks, the director of Part 5 of Band of Brothers, "Crossroads", makes a cameo as a member of the Red Devils. I have been looking for this for awhile but only recently discovered it after purchasing the 6-disc DVD set.

To find it, fast forward to about the 31:50 time mark on disc 3. This is the scene of the Red Devils and the 101st Airborne Division celebrating. You will see the large group of men "here here-ing" to a speech being made. At this timeframe, look at the upper left hand side of the screen. You will see Hanks, wearing a Red beret, very close to the back of the scene. He does look over and becomes obscured by the soldier in front of him.
