Carrey, Jim Easter Egg - Reference to Ace

Okay, so here's what happened. In the movie Bruce Almighty you see some references to Ace Ventura. As you may know Bruce Almighty was directed or produced by Tom Shadyac. Who also directed Ace Ventura (I think it was the first movie he had ever directed) and that was also the first time Jim worked with him. After all these years, they meet again for another project. So they put two eggs in there (that I know of). The first one occurs when Bruce meets the gang that beat him up again. One of the gangmembers says something like, "We'll apologise if a monkey comes out of my ass". Thanks to Morgan Freeman's (aka God) divine powers that Bruce inherited a monkey comes out of his ass indeed. It's exactly the same monkey that was Ace Ventura's "side-kick". That's the first. The second one happens when Bruce makes good on his promise by cleaning the floor with God. When they're done, God (Morgan) says:"Aaaaaaaaaaaaaallrighty then!" which was Ace Ventura's catch phrase (and still used by yours truly ;)). There may be more, but I only saw the movie once so I didn't see all the details. Oh, but I did see when Bruce turned wine into water =)!

There IS another a reference to ace ventura in the movie. In Ace Ventura, there is a part where Jim Carrey makes a comedic sound ((the slide show scene)). He makes a very similar sound after he separates the cars in Bruce Almighty. Just thought you'd like to know.=D

Why isn't this egg in the film section? It has nothing to do with Jim Carrey himself outside the movie.
