Kill Bill: Vol. 1 Easter Egg - The Bride/Black Mamba's Name Revealed

The Bride's (Uma Thurman's character's) name is bleeped whenever mentioned in Vol. 1. However, her name appears two times in the movie. The first time is right after she takes off in Buck's truck. In the next scene, she buys a plane ticket from El Paso, Texas to Okinawa, Japan where she visits Hatori Hanzo. She says, "Okinawa, one way" to the ticket attendant, who slides her the ticket. If you pause the movie at this point, you can read the name on the ticket as Beatrix Kiddo, which is revealed to be the Bride's real name in Vol. 2. The second time her name appears in when she buys another plane ticket from Okinawa, Japan to Tokyo. Her name is once again visible, but not as clearly.

Her name is also revealed secretely by Bill; in the beginning he says "you know kiddo, I'd like to believe..." which is obviously a reference to her character's last name. I'm also pretty sure the "Trix are for kids" line between The Bride and O'Ren is a reference to her name, but I don't understand its significance.

The line in the movie "silly rabbit, trix are for kids," is a reference to her characters name in the movie, (Beatrix Kiddo). The line is from the novels, written by Beatrix Potter entitled Peter Rabbit and Friends. "Silly rabbit, trix are for kids," is a line used in the books.

As Seen in the chapter "2", Vernita Green shoots Beatrix, through a cereal box of "Trix". We can remember there used to be a commercial for those cereals saying "silly rabbit, Trix are for kids" just like in O'Ren and Beatrix's dialog. It all explains her Name "Beatrix Kiddo", which could be heard as Be-a-Trix-Kiddo.

The gun that shot beatrix was not fired from a box of trix, it was a box of kaboom.
