Windows 3.1 Easter Egg - Development Team Credits

1. Hold Ctrl-Alt-Shift. Don't let up on any of these keys throughout the whole procedure.
2. Go to the Help menu of Program Manager and select About Program Manager.
3. There should be a nice colorful Microsoft Windows logo in the upper right hand corner of the window. Double Click on one of the four colors in the logo. Then hit OK.
4. Repeat steps 2 and 3 and click on a different color of the logo. The bottom of the window should change to display an animated waving window and some different text.
5. Repeat steps 2 and 3 once more and click on a different color of the logo. The bottom of the window will change once more to display a person and a chalkboard with the programmers' names scrolling on it.
6. Repeat the whole procedure several times more, using different color combinations. You should get different people in the final picture, and even a bear (or some sort of furry animal) if you're lucky.

Works for the utilities as well (notepad, write, calculator, etc.). Technically they all use the same AboutBox Windows API command :oP I tried it on Win95 Program Manager but it no longer works. :o(

Hold down the left Ctrl-Alt-Shift keys. Don't release them (unless you want to re-hold them down again, once you've viewed the animation). You don't always get an animation. Any coloured window pane is the same as the next. I've read that a different pane will give a different anim. but that's wrong. There is a Windows logo flag, BILL GATES, presenting the product development team, some other guy (Steve Ballmer ?), another guy (bearded), and a bear. Doesn't work with Win3.11 :(

I was messing with it, and I noticed that the same pane doesn't always show the same picture, and some show nothing at all. I'm assuming that it is some sort of random thing. I tried it using Windows 3.11 by the way. I could only get two things, but if it is random, most likely the other things don't occur as often. That's my guess.

I tried this with Windows 3.11 but I'm probably sure that it works on Windows 3.1. You can also only hold the Shift and Ctrl buttons instead of holding Shift, Ctrl and Alt. Also Windows 3.11 only has two animations: a windows flag with some text and a bear that is pointing at the credits.

In Windows for Workgroups, I got a man with(apparently) one of the developer/markerters heads, then I got it with bill gates, and then I got it with a guy with a beard(apparently another developer/marketer) and THEN the ferret
