Doom 3 Easter Egg - Alien Writing Not so Alien

In the Caverns 2 level, as you first see the entrance to the Martian's building head into it (battling any enemies that appear). At the point where the corridor turns to the left you will see some writing above the scaffolding - you might also recognise it as the image used for this level's loading screen. The font used for this alien writing is actually "Wingdings 3", a font shipped with Microsoft Office.

I've tried deciphering the first blocks on the left, into readable text, unfortunately they don't make any sense!
