Futurama Easter Egg - Death Race?

In the episode where Bender becomes a were-car, at the point where Leela tells Fry to distract Bender/Were-car, Fry jumps in front of the car, waving his arms and yells "Look at me, I'm a blind pedestrian! TWENTY POINTS!"

This is a reference to the cult movie Death Race 2000 in which racers in a cross continent race score points by running down pedestrians, the number of points they get for each person is based on age,disability,social status etc.
