On the episode where Peter gets help from the mob, the scene right after the car gets destroyed, it shows the house from far back, and you should see a small blue car parked outside the house (can't remember the name right now but the one you do punch buggy with) then when it goes up closer, it turns into the compact car Lois wanted.
