I tried this e-egg on both a Performa 6360 and a PowerMac 7100/80 running Mac OS 8.1, and it didn't work.

That might only work on a certain model, all macs have a hidden image in rom, BUT, you nead bring up the interupt line (interupt switch or command-power on models without a swich) and know what to type. I say forget that, there is this awsome program called ROMmie, it dumps you mac rom in 3 ways, Raw, a list of all the individual resorces, and a resedit dump or your ROM. It dumps you rom EXACTLY how it is, open it with resedit, and bon voyage, PICT, snd on some models, BEEP-the start up sounds in binary of which you can convert to snd, and alot more!

the easter egg only works in System 7.5.x but you can see the picture with a program called ROMmie that copies the ROM content to your harddrive if you have a newer version of mac os (not X)
