Face The Music (E. L. O.) Easter Egg - Backwards Talking
During the intro of the first song "Fire On High", you can hear some backwards talking. When listening to it backwards, it says "The music is reversible but time isn't. Turn back! Turn back! Turn back! Turn back!"
This came out in the late 70s, when a lot of rock bands were being accused of putting demonic backwards messages in songs--this was ELOs response to all the silliness.

Listen to "Danger Ahead" on Secret Messages and you will hear "look out there`s danger ahead" backwards. At the end of "Mr Blue Sky" on "Out of the Blue" you will hear "Please turn me over" played through a vocal synth.

Check out the song "Secret Messages." Jeff Lynne likes to mess with certain people's heads.

The first part of this reversed message can be taken literally.(i.e "The music is reversible.") If you listen to the first snippet of the song backwards, the music sounds exactly like it does forward. In fact, the first minute or so sounds (almost) the same in either direction, except for the spoken message, of course. Pretty ingenious of Jeff Lynne, et. al., if you ask me.

The full reversed speech is actually: "The music is reversible. But time is not. Turn back. Turn back. Turn back. Turn back."
