Incidentally, 'Archie Leach' is also the name of the character John Cleese plays in 'A Fish Called Wanda'.

In His Girl Friday, Grant again spoofs his real name, saying " The last person who said that to me was Archie Leach, before he cut his throat". He was also called Archie Cutter in the classic Gunga Din.
