Hot Shots: Part Deux Easter Egg - Down the River!

When Charlie Sheen is travelling down the river, and is saying the "someone once said that hell is the imposibility of reason" speech, It is exactly the same speech that he says in the film Platoon.

And not only that, he passes his father, Martin Sheen, on another boat, who is saying the exact speech that he said from Apocylypse now.

This isn't an egg, it is a deliberate joke in a movie of deliberate jokes. Come on!!!

Yeah, you don't have to break out any "oscillating micrometers" to understand these movies!

Yes, Charlie Sheen and Martin Sheen are both reciting lines from Platoon and Apocalypse Now, respectively, which is a deliberate joke... Same goes for when they spot each other on the river and they both say "I loved you in 'Wall Street'!"...both Sheens starred in the drama "Wall Street".
