Corman, Roger - Loved by His Students!
Roger Corman, one of film's worst directors, has trained some of film's best, including Martin Scorcese, Ron Howard and Jonathan Demme. He often appears in their films. In Philidelphia (Demme), he plays one of the firm partners. In Apollo 13 (Howard) he plays the Senator who is touring the Assembly building. If you see him in any Scorcese films, let me know!

Roger Corman also helped Francis Ford Coppola early in his career, and he repaid the favor by casting Corman as one of the senators (again!) in the committee investigating organized crime in Godfather II.
